QuickMed Opens in Sharon Regional’s Hubbard Diagnostic & Imaging Center

Offers 7-day a week walk-in care for minor injuries and illnesses

(Sharon, PA) – July 11, 2016 – Sharon Regional Medical Center announces the opening of its all- new QuickMed walk-in clinic located inside Sharon Regional Hubbard Diagnostic & Specialty Center at 880 West Liberty Street in Hubbard, Ohio. The new clinic offers 7-day-a-week primary and express care services to patients of all ages. A team of experienced physicians and nurse practitioner are available to treat a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses all in one convenient location.

“We are very excited to be expanding our services to include both primary care and express care into Hubbard and the surrounding area”, stated Jason Roeback, CEO of Sharon Regional Medical Center. “The community welcomed us when we opened the Diagnostic & Specialty Center six years ago and have continued to support the many programs and services offered. Opening the new primary care and walk-in clinics are in response to what the community has asked for and we are happy to respond.”

QuickMed is operated by Sharon Regional Medical Group Family Medicine and includes the following practitioners:

Renee Rubinstein, M.D. a practicing emergency medicine physician who recently joined the medical staff of Sharon Regional Medical Center. Dr. Rubinstein was previously an emergency medicine physician with Butler Faster Care in Butler, PA and prior to that at the Doctors Express Urgent Care in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Rubinstein is board certified in family medicine and addiction medicine and specializes in both emergency medicine and family medicine for adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Rubinstein received her medical education at the American University of the Caribbean in Cupecoy, Netherlands Antilles and completed a master of business and health administration degree from Argosy University in Los Angeles, California.

Jean Wilson, D.O., is a family medicine physician on the medical staff of Sharon Regional Medical Center. Dr. Wilson is board certified in family medicine and specializes in general medicine and preventive care for adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Wilson received her medical education at Lake Erie School of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA and completed her residency in family medicine at UPMC Horizon in Farrell, PA.

They are joined by certified nurse practitioner Shirley McIntosh, C.N.P. McIntosh completed her adult primary care nurse practitioner certification at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and is scheduling new patients, as well as treating those seeking walk-in care at the clinic.

QuickMed is a convenient option when patients need to see a provider for a variety of conditions, including minor emergencies, cuts and abrasions, sprains and strains, sports injuries, wellness exams, sports, employment and DOT physicals, treatment of minor injuries, common illnesses such as colds, flu, and medical conditions, travel immunizations, and others.

The Sharon Regional Hubbard Diagnostic and Specialty Center also provides a wide array of convenient patient services including; walk-in laboratory and diagnostic testing: x-ray, ultrasound, pre-surgical testing, stress testing, and EKGs, as well as specialty physicians in the areas of cardiology, sports medicine, orthopedic surgery, physical/hand therapy, occupational therapy and sports rehabilitation.

No appointments are necessary. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about QuickMed, call (330) 269-1934.

A community open house is scheduled for Thursday, July 21 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Free health screenings will be offered and tours will be conducted.
