Sharon Regional’s Educational Health Sessions and Community Services for September

(Sharon, PA) – Sharon Regional Medical Center to host a variety of educational health sessions and community services.

  • Sharon Regional Prepared Child Birth Classes
    Saturdays, beginning September 3 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., 
    at the Diagnostic & Imaging Center 2435 Garden Way Hermitage. This series of five classes (with the last class being a tour of the Sharon Regional Women's Center) is designed for the second half of pregnancy. Information is presented in a casual atmosphere and includes how your body gives birth, breathing and relaxation techniques, comfort measures for labor, the role of your support person, the cesarean birth experience, taking care of mom and baby, and much more. Pre-registration is a must as class size is limited. Cost of the session is $25. (Moms-to-be with a current medical assistance card, may attend at no charge). If you experience pressure, pain, swelling, skin discoloration, heaviness or restlessness in your legs, it may be due to varicose veins or a symptom of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).   • Sharon Regional To Offer Convenient, Low-cost Physicals for Students
    Sharon Regional Medical Center is now offering sports physicals for student athletes and student drivers. The physical is available through Sharon Regional’s Corporate Health Services located at 295 North Kerrwood Drive, Hermitage, PA. The physicals include basic height, weight, vital signs and several body systems, such as heart, lungs and concussion history. The cost is $25.00. Hours are available Monday through Friday. Appointments are required and can be made by calling (724) 346-6425. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and all PIAA or OHSAA physical packets much be completed prior to appointment.
  • Volunteering: A Way to Give Back to Your Community
    If you’re passionate about community service, care deeply for the people and have the time and energy to be involved, we’d love to have you as part of our extended family at Sharon Regional Medical Center.
