Sharon Regional Welcomes New Director of School of Nursing

(Sharon, PA) - March 27, 2017 – Sharon Regional announced today that they welcome, Mary Jane Larmon, MBA, MSN, RN, as the Director of the School of Nursing. Mary Jane graduated with her nursing diploma from Sharon Regional’s School of Nursing, and went on to receive her BSN and a Post Bachelor Certification in Nursing Management from Pennsylvania State University. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a Masters of Business Administration and in 2016 obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing.

Mary Jane worked at Sharon Regional Medical Center from 1986-2010 as the director of critical care & cardiology services, ICU charge nurse and in Home Health. Since her time at Sharon Regional, Mary Jane served as the chief clinical officer, regional director of nursing operations, and the Interim CEO at Vibra Healthcare in Boardman, Ohio and prior to that was the Director of Nursing at Vrable Healthcare in Youngstown. She has also held the position as an adjunct clinical instructor of nursing at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.

Mary Jane lives in Sharpsville and served on the Board of Directors for the Mercer County American Heart Association for 10 years. She received advanced certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and as a Medical-Surgical Nurse from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

We are very excited to have Mary Jane join our leadership team and lead the School of Nursing so that we can continue to meet the demand for well-educated, professional nurses as the need for nurses continues across all health care settings.”
