Sharon Regional Recognizes March Employee of the Month

(Sharon, PA) April 10, 2017 – Jennifer O’Rourke, RN, BSN, Clinical Informaticist in the Information Technology/ Clinical Informatics Department at Sharon Regional Medical Center, was selected as the Employee of the Month for the month of March 2017.

Jennifer joined Sharon Regional in 2002 and served in various capacities including; nursing assistant, patient care coordinator, staff nurse on skilled and intensive care units, and clinical manager and interim manager on medical surgical departments. A Sharpsville native, she is a graduate of the Sharon Regional School of Nursing program and obtained her BSN degree from Penn State University.

Jennifer was selected as Employee of the Month for her role in educating employees on the effective use of the tools available to support exceptional patient care delivery. Additionally, she is responsible for ensuring that employees and physicians receive training on new implementations and/or enhancements to information systems and serves as Sharon Regional’s Safety Coach Champion where she oversees the safety program throughout the health system.

Jennifer is a member of the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA) and is an active member of Sharon Regional’s American Heart Association Heart Walk and American Cancer Society Relay for Life committees.
