Walk This Way - Healthy Steps Walking Program
The first Wednesday of April was designated National Walking Day, and as part of the observance, Sharon Regional Medical Center and the American Heart Association teamed up with Thiel College to kick off “Healthy For Good,” as part of Move More Day.

Sharon Regional Medical Center will recognize National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day to be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2019. This initiative started in 2015, to show support of law enforcement officers nationwide. In light of recent negativity directed toward law enforcement nationally, the National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) is a day dedicated for all of America to show law enforcement officers that we recognize the very difficult and sometimes challenging career they have chosen, in public service to us all.

Sharon Regional Medical Center has teamed up with Penn State Shenango’s Athletics Program to provide comprehensive athletic training services for the campus’s new men’s basketball team and women’s volleyball team. This past fall, through Sharon Regional’s Sports Medicine program, certified athletic trainer Deb Bornes began working with the Penn State Shenango Lions to provide professional services during the Lions’ home practices and games.
Sharon Regional Medical Center Expands Access to Specialty Care in Lawrence, Mercer and Venango Counties. The specialists include Randall Hofius, DO, general surgeon and Phillip Painley, DO, interventional cardiologist. Both Drs. Hofius and Painley are on the medical staff of Sharon Regional Medical Center.
